When you are prescribed and authorized In Home Health Care under the EEOICPA you will need to see your treating physician every six (6) months. This will allow your treating physician to see you at regular intervals to monitor your covered conditions and adjust your Home Care Plan as needed.
The EEOICPA requires you to see your physician every six (6) months when you are authorized to receive In Home Health Care Services. This is required by the EEOICPA so that they can ensure that your Home Plan of Care is updated and adjusted on a regular basis to meet your care needs in the home due to your EEOICPA covered conditions.
When you see your physician every six (6) months, your physician will write a new Letter of Medical Necessity and review your Home Plan of Care. Any adjustments to your Home Plan of Care will be based on the physician’s assessment of your needs in the home due to your covered conditions. Both the Plan of Care and the Letter of Medical Necessity needs to be updated every six (6) months and provided to the DEEOIC. Upon receipt of your updated medical documentation the DEEOIC will issue you a new authorization for In-Home Health Care Services.
